The late Peter Mitchell, from Wadeford, was, for many years, an established contributor to the Cloverleaf Parish Magazine.  His interest in measuring the rainfall, and using the figures to make comparisons, was made available to the parish magazine. He  kindly agreed to make these statistics available to our Parish website.

Rodney Baylis, of Wadeford,  has now recommenced the measurements, which are detailed below. Our thanks go to Rodney for his time and effort in this respect. Rodney measures daily rainfall with a simple measuring device similar to the one shown in the photograph. It is kept in fixed position in his garden, together with a tube that measures rainfall over a month. 

All measurements are in millimeters        25 millimeters = 1inch = 4.5 gallons per square yard.
