Combe Parish History Group

The Group was formed in 1995. It usually meets on the second Monday of March, June, September and December at 8.00pm in the Village Hall, when they have very interesting speakers on various subjects, usually connected with local history. Trips to historical places of interest take place during the summer months. Over the past three years the Group has visited Wells Cathedral, Hemyock Castle, Whitestaunton Manor, Sherborne and Dorchester.

Annual Membership (£2) is due at the AGM held in March at the Village Hall. Benefits include concessions for the quarterly public meetings, and priority bookings for visits, etc., where numbers are restricted. Everyone is very welcome to our meetings. The Chairman is Tony Fathers, the Secretary is Anne Hunt and the Treasurer is Ian Walker . Committee members are Bill Anscombe, Sheena Boyle, Alan Chisholm, Corinne Wade, and Ian Whitehead.

To find out more contact Anne Hunt on telephone number 01460 61296 or e-mail harryandannhunt@btinternet.com.
